The North Ridge location of Cabana Tans at the corner of Falls and Spring Forest is moving to a bigger and easier to find and access location. We will be moving 1/10/10 to the Celebration at Six Forks Shopping Center at the corner of Six Forks and Sawmill.
Cabana Tans would like to apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and would like to remind everyone that this means a bigger location with more space and more options for better equipment and services for our clients at our usual value and low cost. Also, we want to remind everyone that this transition will take place over one weekend barring any unforeseeable complications and if this move puts the new location slightly less than convenient then perhaps any of our other 2 locations will fit you needs easily.
The Litchford Village shopping center is approximately 2.2 miles from the current North Ridge location and has been the Cabana flagship location for over 15 years with high-end advanced European sunbeds and tanning professionals. This will likely be the first choice for a number of clients living north or east of the Falls location.
While most will find that the NEW location is less than 2 miles from the current location and easily accessible via I-540, Strickland Rd. or Spring Forest, some people may find their new home at our newly remodeled and upgraded Leesville Rd. location at the corner of Leesville Rd. and Pinecrest just seconds from I-540.
No matter what location you choose, thank you for being a Cabana Tans customer and we look forward to serving you better as we head into 2010 and the future of tanning… and skincare!
It’s foolish to be self conscious about the color of your teeth. Yet, in a recent survey, 40% of young and older adults reported “feeling bad about my smile” and “wishing I had whiter teeth”. Some said they even smile with their mouth closed or avoid getting their picture taken altogether because of their teeth!
Whether you’re going on a job interview or just out for the evening, you’ll feel better – and be more attractive to others – when your smile is whiter. With services such as Instantly Whiter Teeth Whitening (656-6805) in North Cary you can have that smile in just 30 minutes. Instantly Whiter uses FDA compliant carbamide peroxide and a high-powered LED light to give you great results! No multiple treatments, no dentist visit, no sensitivity. Instantly Whiter is the most affordable place to get your teeth whitened, too. They have lower overhead and pass that savings onto you.
Just like other technologies, teeth whitening has elevated people’s standard for appearance. That’s why shows like “10 Years Younger” and “Instant Makeover” always whiten! Don’t miss out on a great smile – just whiten it!
Atomic Completes Renovation, Redefines Salon Experience
New venture fuses two ambitious Retro and Modern motifs, creatively integrating style, substance, and bold imagination.
Raleigh, NC – August 24, 2009 – Marking the culmination of 9 months of hard work and determination, Atomic Salon is proud to announce its Grand Re-Opening as of September 11, 2009. True to the roots of this independent salon, all labor was carried out by the two owners themselves with the much appreciated help of their staff. The salon now encases both halves of the 905 W. Morgan St. building, one half having previously been occupied by Creative Consignments, which quietly closed it’s doors in November of 2008.
Atomic has been a downtown staple every since 2004, when Goldwell Artist and Educator Shannon Lamm conceived a business model evoking kitsch as the new “cool”. Atomic’s stylists provided a quirky blend of personality and creative proficiency with heartfelt attention to provide clients with a genuine, beautifying experience; because of that, Atomic quickly became downtown’s solid destination for everything hip and hot in hair.
In 2009 Lamm brought on a co-owner, Goldwell Educator Joey Humphrey, and the two decided to expand. The idea: “split the atom“ and divide the salon into two unique halves. The plan: retain the 50’s rockabilly nostalgia of the original salon and pair it with a more contemporary, urban contrast.
The owners took over the space next door, the one previously held by Creative Consignments, knocked down a few walls and transformed what was a modest thrift shop into a sleek, sophisticated companion to Atomic’s edgy swank.
New features included in this cosmopolitan portion of Atomic: a large, inviting reception area stocked full of Goldwell, Aquage and ABBA hair products; an expanded esthetician room for private waxing; a Color Forging Bar that allows stylists to easily and openly access color formulas, charts and inventory; and a massive loft positioned above the Color Bar built just for stylists (a place where they can get away, relax, or have a quiet lunch).
“The expansion has really resounded with clients,” notes stylist Holley Closser. “They love the new reception area, especially the comfy window seat!” Products in the reception are now more prominently featured, with each shelf dedicated to a particular styling line or type. “Before, clients barely knew we carried products.” Holley says. “Now they can’t seem to get enough!””
Atomic will be celebrating it’s Grand Opening the evening of Friday, Sept. 11th from 5pm – 10pm. The event will include a 28 piece mixed media exhibition by artist/photographer JP Corr III as well as live performances by 16yr old songwriting
virtuoso Ashley Mulcher. The event will be catered by downtown’s own Square Rabbit, and is held in cooperation with Z Spotlight, Glaceau/Vitamin Water, and Miller Beer. There will also be a door raffle to give away free haircuts and color, as well as Atomic t-shirts.
Atomic Salon continues to challenge mainstream trends in the world of beauty, often breaking more rules than we bend. Atomic continues to specialize in cuts and color, with styles running the gamut from classic to conservative to ultra-mod. The 2009 expansion is just the beginning for Atomic’s role in downtown Raleigh dynamic future.
